We have put together some of the most frequently asked questions and key points regarding the BMW Driving Experience. Should your question not be included, please simply get in touch with us.
It is also possible to take part in our BMW and MINI Safety Training courses with a provisional driving licence, which allows you to drive at the age of 17 when accompanied by an adult. However, in accordance with the conditions of §48a of the driving licence, you may only drive when accompanied by an approved person. This person must, among other things, fulfil the following prerequisites: to be in possession of a valid driving licence for at least five years and to be at least 30 years old. The accompanying person will take part in the training course as a fully-fledged participant, but will only pay the reduced fee of 115.00 Euros for the Compact Safety Training “Young” or 315.00 Euros for the Safety Training “Young”.
Generally speaking, anyone who holds a valid driving licence and is fit to drive can benefit from our training courses. They are especially suitable for beginners, young motorists and those who do not drive frequently. 17-year-olds can take part in training courses for young drivers accompanied by the person whose name is entered in their driving licence. Here the same special conditions apply to the escort as to the young driver. In this case, we hope you appreciate that registrations must be made in writing. We will also be glad to provide you with telephone support on +49 (0) 89 – 1250 16 444 (at local rates). Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
As the health and safety of our participants, employees and service providers is of utmost importance to us, we have taken several important steps to protect against Covid-19. Details can be found on our information pages: bmw-drivingexperience.com/en/covid19
Incentives can be offered from groups of ten. We organise and implement these worldwide for any period of time you wish. You can also arrange for roadbook-based excursions in conjunction with a BMW Driving Experience course. There are no limits to individualised programs here - simply ask us and we will compile a detailed offer for you.
Generally, all participants and the vehicles provided by us have accident insurance through BMW. If you bring your own vehicle, this will be covered by your regular insurance as in road traffic. For details see our General Terms and Conditions.
Particular care is taken in the case of pregnant women, as liability for physical harm and damage to health cannot be excluded. It is not excluded in the General Terms and Conditions, however we do recommend refraining from participating if certain individual exercises (emergency braking, oversteer) may put the health of both mother and child at risk. Should the client still wish to participate, we require a medical clearance form. In terms of accident insurance, no restrictions are applied. The pregnancy also has no effect on the motor third party insurance taken out on the car. As such, there is nothing against participating from an insurance point of view.
Our online forms offer a fast, safe and convenient way of registering for a training course. All the data you enter are transmitted with SSL, an established data encryption method used successfully for the secure transmission of data in the Internet. The encryption process makes sure that the data you submit cannot be read or accessed by unauthorised third parties.
We are happy to issue vouchers for a Euro amount of your choosing. You can use these vouchers as part payment towards the cost of any training course that we offer. Vouchers can of course be transferred to other individuals who fulfil the requirements for BMW Driving Experience courses. The normal period of validity applies.
